About me
I am Lokmane Amari, a member of WG2 and WG5 (CA22125). I recently completed my M.Sc. in Bioinformatics (Data Science & AI) at USTHB, Algiers (grade: 19/20). My thesis paper — Immun-AI — has been accepted for oral presentation and publication at MICAD 2026 (Springer Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering, Paper ID: 642).
Technical expertise
- Multimodal AI: integration of clinical, transcriptomic and imaging data with robustness to missing modalities
- Multi-omics: transcriptomic microarray analysis, LASSO, high-dimensional feature selection, recovering validated biological signatures
- Trustworthy AI: conformal prediction with abstention, probability calibration, uncertainty quantification
- Explainability: SHAP attribution, Grad-CAM, GNNExplainer
- Federated learning for privacy-preserving biomedical AI
- Graph Neural Networks on large biological networks (500,000+ edges)
- Full-stack clinical AI deployment (FastAPI, Docker, HPC)
What I am looking for
A funded PhD position within the CA22125 network or connected institutions, in one of these areas:
- Trustworthy AI for BTC diagnostics and precision oncology
- Multimodal biomarker discovery and multi-omics integration
- Explainable clinical decision support
Also open to: Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSMs), collaborative contributions to WG research activities.
