A new and valuable registry is now available to new participating centers worldwide
The International Biliary Tract Cancer Registry—coordinated by Dr Jesus M. Banales and co-coordinators Dr Laura Izquierdo Sanchez, Dr Marcin Krawczyk and Dr Angela Lamarca—is a collaborative multi-center clinical initiative which brings together expert centers from Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa to compile high-quality clinical data from patients diagnosed with all types of BTC.
Guided by the mission to collect, harmonize and share clinical BTC data, and supported by the Precision-BTC Network, this registry promises to be a powerful tool for supporting collaborative research, enabling data sharing, and improving outcomes for patients.
This central reference for the global research community is rich in data. Both retrospective and prospective data from electronic health records, radiology/pathology reports and bio samples provide insights into patient demographics and clinical characteristics, diagnostic and staging information, treatment pathways and responses, molecular profiling data, and follow-up and outcome measures, among other data.
Dr Banales and his team welcome collaboration in this important project. Researchers and institutional affiliates of the Precision-BTC Action or related collaborative frameworks are more than welcome to access and contribute to the registry.
For more details on the registry and how to participate, visit our Registries page or contact Dr Banales or Dr Izquierdo Sanchez.
