From mentorship to grants, this year’s support programs focus on young investigators
The third year of the COST Action Precision-BTC Network is in full swing and with it various programs supporting Action members, with particular emphasis on Young Researchers & Innovators (YRIs).
Within a few short months of the kickoff of the open call, twelve grant proposals have already been given the go-ahead—eight Short Term Scientific Missions, two Virtual Mobility Grants and two YRI Conference Grants. Fifty percent of grant recipients belong to Inclusiveness Target Countries, and a whopping ninety percent of grants have been awarded to YRIs!
Additionally, two Training Schools are planned for March, where a total of forty-five early-career researchers will learn about diagnosis and management of BTC, and cutting-edge in vitro and in vivo models. Taken together with the second edition of the Precision-BTC Network/ENS-CCA/ICRN Mentorship program, this year looks bright for the career development of the Network’s YRIs.
With these programs, the Precision-BTC Network continues to foster international collaboration, promote knowledge exchange and research connections, and invest in the career development and capacity building of the next generation of researchers.
